    Abner Kurtin is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) and the Portfolio Manager for JM10 Partners Fund. Established in 2018, JM10 Partners operates two private equity funds that invest growth capital into the cannabis industry. Mr. Kurtin has been managing opportunity capital for over 20 years. Prior to AWH, he was the founder of K Capital Partners a multibillion dollar hedge fund and Ca2 Group a high end real estate development firm in Massachusetts. He started his career at The Baupost Group and served as a member of the Presidents Council of Massachusetts General Hospital and Chairman of the Hill House. Mr. Kurtin graduated from Harvard Business School and completed his BA at Tufts University.

    Frank Perullo is President & Co-Founder of AWH. Mr. Perullo is also Founder of Novus Group and Sage Systems, one of the leading providers of web-based campaign management software, which he founded in 2002. Sage’s ListManager tool empowered thousands of campaigns across the country to make data driven micro-targeting decisions, giving clients the edge they needed to achieve victory.

    Daniel Neville joined AWH as SVP of Finance in March 2019 and in August 2020, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Prior to AWH, Mr. Neville worked at SLS Capital, a special situations hedge fund based in New York, where he served as a Managing Director from January 2015 to March 2019 and an Analyst from April 2010 to January 2015. Previously, he worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse in the Technology Group, where he worked on mergers & acquisitions and IPO transactions. Mr. Neville earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University.

    Christopher Melillo currently serves as the Chief Revenue Officer for Ascend Wellness Holdings. Chris has 20+ years experience in retail leadership and store operations. Mr. Melillo was formally the SVP Retail/Wholesale at Curaleaf. Prior to that he was the Senior Director of Stores at Nike North America, and Vice President of Stores at DTLR/Villa. He has held significant leadership roles in Equinox, Pet Smart and Home Depot. He has been instrumental in retail expansions, store design, construction, merchandising and omni-channel commerce in hundreds of stores, in addition to developing and leading retail teams across the country.

    Robin Debiase joined AWH as Chief People Officer in March 2021. In this role, Ms. Debiase will develop and lead the People team and Strategy for AWH. Prior to AWH, Ms. Debiase was VP of HR at WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) for over 12,000 associates across North America. Prior to WW, she was the Head of HR for Delta Galil Industries, a global manufacturer and marketer of private label apparel products, owned brands such as 7 For All Mankind, Splendid and PJ Salvage and licenses for men, women and children such as Tommy Hilfiger, Columbia, Wilson and Calvin Klein. In her role, Ms. Debiase led a cultural transformation of the human resources team into a high-functioning, accountable, reliable and associate advocate organization.

    Prior to her time at Delta Galil Industries, Ms. Debiase’s career took her to Circuit City, serving as the Director of Human Resources, Walgreens, where she was the Senior Director of Human Resources and Hanesbrands, Inc, as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Robin has an MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and a BA from St. Joseph’s College.

    Doug Fischer is the General Counsel of AWH. Mr. Fischer has deep experience inside and outside the cannabis industry navigating novel regulatory matters, leading complex corporate transactions, designing and implementing compliance programs, and resolving high-stakes disputes.

    Prior to joining AWH, Doug served as the General Counsel of Greenlane Holdings, Inc. from 2018 - 2022, where he was responsible for leading all of Greenlane’s legal, including capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, corporate governance, litigation, and government affairs. While at Greenlane, Doug led the first ever IPO of an ancillary cannabis company on a major exchange. 

    Before that, Doug practiced law at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where he represented clients in an array of settings spanning white collar criminal, regulatory, and complex commercial matters. He has also served as the Chief Legal Officer of the National Association of Cannabis Businesses, where he worked with leading cannabis businesses to establish national compliance standards. Doug has sat on the Policy Council of Marijuana Policy Project and the Policy Committee of the U.S. Cannabis Council.

    Doug earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The George Washington University and a Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law.

    Rebecca Conti Koar joined AWH as Head of Investor Relations in June 2021. She is a business professional with an Engineering education. Ms. Koar has 10+ years of professional experience spanning Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations, and Venture Capital at both public and private companies. She has held prior positions at Verizon (NYSE: VZ), Covanta Energy (NYSE: CVA), Conduent (NASDAQ: CNDT), and Golden Seeds. Prior to her professional work, Ms. Koar graduated with a B.S. from the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with concentrations in Materials Science, Engineering Business, and Applied Math. At AWH, Ms. Koar is responsible for Primary responsibilities include the planning, development, and implementation of investor programs, messaging, and activities.     Danielle Drummond is VP of Social Equity for AWH. Drummond has been a leader in advancing social impact agendas in the education, criminal justice, and community health space for over 15 years. A native Bostonian and Spelman College graduate, she has worked in community engagement and social equity at the state and local level in the public and nonprofit sectors. Her career has allowed her to see how systemic barriers across institutions affect the quality of life for individuals. Most recently she served under Rachael Rollins as Deputy Chief of Community Engagement where she was able to implement Rollins' criminal justice reform agenda; increasing the amount of funding to grassroots community based organizations, forming strategic partnerships, and implementing healing centered programming to supplement a punitive system.

    Drummond’s work is centered in the belief that to make real change we have to keep the voices of those communities that have been harmed by systemic oppression at the forefront. She believes in community based solutions, supported by institutions.

    Drummond’s commitment to community healing is seen not only in her career but her personal life as well. As the mother of a young son, she understands the importance of positive adults in the lives of youth and has mentored many young women and men. Drummond is a skilled facilitator on topics such as restorative justice, DEI, and positive youth development, she is a reiki practitioner and someone who deeply believes in Bell Hook's idea of the Beloved Community to transform society.
